ASA Studio Albanese designs Thom Browne retailer in San Francisco

American vogue label Thom Browne has opened its first retail location in San Francisco, designed by ASA Studio Albanese to characteristic dramatic marble towards white slatted blinds.

The flagship retailer is located at 432 Jackson Avenue within the historic Yeon Constructing, which dates again to 1855, within the coronary heart of the town’s luxurious purchasing district.

Its inside is the most recent collaboration between Thom Browne’s eponymous founder and architect Flavio Albanese of Italy-based ASA Studio Albanese, who has designed over a dozen shops for the model since 2017.

“Behind Thom Browne’s signature slat blind-covered home windows is a minimalist mid-century model workplace with rows of fluorescent tube lighting, polished with white Calcutta and Carrara marble flooring, and banker gray Bardiglio and Carrara marble partitions,” stated the Thom Browne staff.

Among the many furnishings items curated to decorate the theme are a glass-topped desk positioned within the centre of the room at one finish and chairs that kind a small seating space on the different.

“Thom continues to outfit this area with mid-century furnishings by American and French designers — together with seating and lamps by Jacques Adnet, a desk by TH Robsjohn-Gibbings, workplace chairs by Knoll, benches by McCobb, espresso tables by Mathieu Mategot, and show etagere’s by Maison Jansen,” the staff stated.
