Manu Bañó varieties sculptural OBJ-08 mirrors from single sheet of copper

Architect and designer Manu Bañó explores the reflective qualities of copper along with his OBJ-08 mirrors, launched as a part of the Distinctive Design X honest at Mexico Metropolis artwork week.

The OBJ-08 assortment includes two items – the Wall Mirror and Flooring Mirror – every composed of two symmetrical items which can be designed to be displayed as a duo.

The Wall Mirror has a tarnished copper floor and is made up of two round sheets of copper, one formed to be concave and the opposite convex.

Matching in texture, the Flooring Mirror has a free-standing rectangular body with equivalent indentations on two sides which can be polished to a excessive shine.

A hammering method is used to form the items

Manufactured by artisans in Mexico, the items are produced by hammering heated copper sheets onto a mould to control them into the specified form.
