In honor of their fortieth Anniversary, VSA Companions created an insightful, playful video sequence exploring the ability of design in all its varieties. They requested their staff to share temporary movies of merchandise, locations, manufacturers, and experiences which have impressed their creativity and careers. The PRINT employees is celebrating with them by sharing a few of these moments that remind us that actual, lasting affect begins with placing folks on the heart of design.
For my semester overseas in Florence a zillion years in the past, we had been required to maintain a pocket book to doc our time in Italia. I purchased a leather-bound, marble paper-cover pocket book the place I sketched folks on the market and the structure that moved me, the place I wrote about portray on the Ponte Vecchio, lingering in Santa Croce, and discovering gelato— loads of gelato. From that early expertise, I believe I acquired fairly addicted (as many people are) to organizing my life round lists and exploring concepts by writing them down in notebooks. That’s why VSA Artistic Director Matt Ganser’s video resonated for me. I really like the way in which he talks about how he unplugs and may discover his creativity in his Subject Notes. He has some cool doodles too! I hope you’re impressed by his video and people of the remainder of the staff. Joyful fortieth VSA— you don’t look a day over 30!
